MANDATE, MISSION AND VISION

CHREE is the crying voice of the needy. It was founded in October 2004 as a nonprofit corporation dedicated to the service of individuals and social groups on our planet earth who are deprived of human dignity in our midst. The specific  purposes for the establishment of CHREE are spelled out in its articles of incorporation. CHREE recognizes philanthropic wishes of many individuals and organizations to share their possessions with those who have none. CHREE works to activate such wishes and acts as a trusted conduit for channeling donations to serve the basic needs(food, shelter, clothing, and functional literacy) of underserved individuals and groups. By virtue of a determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of June 2005 (and IRS Notice CP-158), CHREE  was granted a 501c(3) charitable organization through which donors can make tax deductible donations for specific or general needs of their choosing.

Our Vision and Mission

CHREE's mission is to restore human dignity to those who are victims of abject poverty and without a social support system. CHREE carries out its mission by providing or causing to provide basic human needs- food, shelter, clothing and functional literacy to the elderly, orphans, disabled, the sick and those in jail. As many organizations in the world share our mission CHREE sees strategic alliances and working partnerships with such organizations as one of its principal objectives in delivering humanitarian relief to and empowering the afflicted groups. No human being should face the blue horizon of a new day with hopelessness or stare at the golden sunset with an empty stomach and without a safe shelter for the night. For there is enough for every one in our global village today.
